Coimbatore: Campaigning for the second consecutive day in Sulur, AMMK General Secretary TTV Dinakaran at Kallapalayam here on Wednesday alleged that "The people in the State are yearning for good governance.

They hate the present ruling government led by Edapadi Palanisamy. While, Jayalalitha sternly opposed all anti-people policies and schemes like NEET, GST, the present CM has given a 'green signal' for such projects and made the people suffer."

Briefing on the manifesto of AMMK for Sulur constituency, he promised to address the underground water problems in Sulur and surrounding areas. He assured that water from PAP canal will be brought to the region for irrigational purpose. He also announced that discount in electricity bill will be granted to power looms.

The president of AMMK asserted that loans will be granted to youngsters who plan to pursue weaving. "A power loom park and tax office will be opened with Sulur as headquarters’ he noted.

TTV Dinakaran lauded the people of Kongu belt and stated that Kongu people have always stood for justice and good governance. "Am hopeful that they will cast their votes for Sukumar, AMMK candidate in the upcoming Sulur assembly election", he said.

"Due to the implementation of GST, around 6 lakh people have lost their jobs. The economy of entire nation is put at jeopardy because of Modi's hasty economic policies", he slammed.

The AMMK President also alleged that the law and order in the State is compromised. Edappadi Palanisamy government has failed to maintain law and order in the State. Only after the intervention of Court, the State government initiated action in the Pollachi sex scandal issue.

He also questioned if Edappadi Palanisamy has forgotten the statements issued by his alliance parties on Jayalalitha. "While, DMDK was against placing a portrait of Jayalalitha in the assembly, PMK opposed to build a ‘mani mandapam’ for Jayalalitha. And, the CM has forged an alliance with these two parties. After the by-elections, Edapadi's regime will come to an end. His betrayal will never be forgiven."
